Weekly Dose of Wonder- Drifters of the Deep
Let the video load for a minute for HD loveliness.
Phylum Cnidaria- lovely, graceful and amazingly diverse. They inhabit every ocean, from the shallows to the greatest depths. To watch them swim, is like watching a heart beat. During college when I had vast bouts of insomnia, I used to project jellyfish swimming onto the ceiling of my apartment. It was a beautiful way to fall asleep. And because I also had glow-in-the-dark stars on my ceiling, I will forever imagine jellyfish swimming through space on a background of stars.

That is so hypnotic! I had glow-in-the-dark stars on my ceiling back in the day, too :)
ReplyDeleteI think you and I should start a new Task Force aimed at bringing back glow-in-the-dark stars.
DeleteWouldn't it be cool if we could do it to scale? (one mile equals one mile)
That video was amazing! I love jellyfish and there are actually some in my current WIP. They're so mesmerizing to watch and fascinating to read about. You share the best nature photos and videos, Kris!
