Friday Check In!
I know I keep saying this but I have to say it again... I LOVE MY BOOTCAMP TEAM!!!! GO TEAM VESUVIUS!!
As your Fearless Leader, I want you guys to know that we can make this glorious adventure whatever we want/need it to be. Need encouragement, we're there for you. Need a kick in the butt, well, we've already got our boots on. Need us to slay your Evildoers: DONE. As Lauren pointed out: "We have LAVA people! Nuff said"
Also, I thought it might be nice to have all our contact info Twitter and Blogs in one place so we can cheer each other on:
So on to my own accountability (cough, cough). Status Update on my Goals:
March
- Finish my edits on ISIS and give it another complete read through
- I got all my edits in and I'm in the process of giving it a full read through. I'm also reading it aloud to Boy Chris, for his invaluable feedback. This miiiight, however, result in more edits. :/ <- (not a big fan of more edits. I am soooo ready to call this puppy DONE.)
April
- Send ISIS to CP's of Awesome
- Shine up first chapter of LOVE AND OTHER CURIOSITIES and post an excerpt under my Current Projects tab on my blog (eeep!)
- Sent first section of LOC to CP of Awesome who gave me some fantastic feedback. (Thank you, thank you!!) I'm planning on tweaking it this week and posting it on my blog (eep!)
May
- Pass 50K mark on LOVE AND OTHER CURIOSITIES (This is actually a March-May goal as it might take a while) :)
- Got some words in on LOC thanks to some Writing Parties and Word Sprints. Still need more words, but I'm making progress. :)
How's everybody else doing? Let me know if anyone runs out of sexy Italians *wink*
I read my WIPs out loud to my cats. One sleeps through it, but the other stares at me like I'm the most interesting person in the world. It's a great confidence booster :)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to reading your excerpt from LOC!
Yay, for fantastic feedback! Hopefully, there won't be too much more editing for ISIS. But even if there is, it just means that the final product will be that much better. And, it means you are that much closer to DONE.
ReplyDeleteLove your team name and tag line! Congrats on your progress last week. So exciting that you're almost done editing ISIS. :)
